Trick with this one is I don't think it hit the town wide as a spec. Seems like an in house set up at Energy.

Spot on. The writer's got such a great voice. Reminded me a bit of Charlie Bartlett as well.

Also, "You look like you're smoking Optimus Prime's penis." -- easily the funniest line I've read all year.

  5. The Knick is such a damn good show. Probably my favorite of the year. Only 3 eps in, but this would be my reason for buying cinemax.

craktactor is right. Peaky is superb.

  6. They Came Together is a better Saves the Cat than Saves the Cat. Incredibly hilarious. If you love Stella, Naked Gun, Hot Shots, etc. you will love this.

I didn't watch it in IMAX as there is not cinema near me like that. I watched the regular 3D, and it was awful. One of the worst films I have seen in the last 12 months. Easy.

I just read the pilots for New Girl and The O.C. and both are very strong. New Girl wasn't quite there, but it showed potential. The character of "Coach" had a lot of screen time. No Winston. Was Marlon Wayans Coach in the pilot, and did that air?

  12. Sweet! A short I wrote, directed, wrote the music for and did the camerawork for is top 20 in the Almost Famous 48 hour Film Fest! It'll be shown on the big screen Thursday!!

I saw the original cut and I wasn't too impressed. I think it's hard to capture that scared in a movie theatre experience with all the lights shut out feeling... and all the POV / Found Footage camera angles/setups seemed to blah

  15. Reading Inglesby's Run All Night (Thank you shaky :D) I don't remember Low Dweller (other than loving it) but Brad gets away with being very novelish in his descriptions...

    4. Cyber Hater

      Cyber Hater

They're just using downtown Pittsburgh as certain parts of Gotham, then patching all the locations together to make "Gotham" hence all the cities being shot in vs just Chicago ala "Dark Knight"

  21. Flying to Pittsburgh on August 5th to be an extra in the Dark Knight Rises on August 6th. All day. If you're working it, would love to say hi!
