  1. Is there a way to stop the googlemail group emails without leaving this wonderful forum?

On the Google Group (Bulletin) you can set it so you receive only one email a day or no emails at all. At the top right / my settings / membership and email settings. in there you should be able to set it how you please.

  2. I used to print up articles about my projects from Varety or THR and have them mounted, but now things are primarily just reported on Deadline. Do any of you print Deadline articles? If so, what's the best way to go about doing that so it's high-res and clean of ads, etc.?

If you're on a Mac, use the Reader button to the right of the space where you type in the web address. You should be able to print it ad free that way.

I agree, this is a fantastic short. It's tense, well acted, and wonderfully shot.

  5. Just saw the best pilot I have ever seen. Wow. Wow. Lifetime achievement type work. Shame it'll never air. Amazing.

  7. The number of writers getting signed up with reps off the back of the TB pilot contest is truly amazing

@TB Red, you should start a weekly thread called "Red's Rant". I'd read it.

  8. What are some good examples of a movie/screenplay where a character is an expert at something but had to give it up only to get dragged back to do it once again against his/her will?

Axalon -- The remake of Gone in 60 Seconds.

I don't recall the lead character being retired in the original but in the Nic Cage one he was "Out of the game".

  14. DAVID VS. GOLIATH, storyline kept under wraps. Seriously? Is that an April Fools joke?

Arnie and DeVito where great for Twins, but I think this should be Peter Dinklage vs Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.

  16. Does anyone know where you can get coverage for scripts in spanish?

      Mysterian

Why did you write a script in Spanish? Is it a feature, a short, a pilot?

  17. Unsure if I should be really excited about the Fargo FX series or somewhat wary of it. Great cast and pedigree, so hoping for the best. Big fan of the film.

It's locally filmed here in Calgary so I'm watching it to support the local film economy. Plus the cast is awesome, and it's on FX and they have a great track record with me and their shows.

I'm sure there's a cartel member south of the border willing to do the coverage. You'll know if the script is a recommend based on whether or not he beheads you after reading it.

Honestly though, I have no idea. Maybe TB Red knows of someone.
