Thanks to all the contributors - Hit List, Black List, FYC scripts, old scripts, spec scripts, TV scripts. Just great. Thank you. Now make sure you read some of the scripts instead of just having a million of them. So much to learn. Never give up on your writing dreams. Never ever.

    The sad realization that I have been apart of this site for four years and progressed much slower then I hoped all the while watching it grow to an incredible resource and outlet. Time to change that.

      He didn't age 23 years, everyone back on Earth did that was the point. He had just lost 23 years of his kids' lives in a matter of hours.

       

      And of course things came of it, the rest of the mission and the decisions following were a result from it. Especially since they just lost a crew member.

      Robert, I strongly disagree. You can reduce any movie idea into a silly phrase like that.

       

      Time dilation is wacky aging? It has serious, serious effects on the characters. Cooper's face when he finds out that 23 years of passed in the matter of a few hours is heart wrenching. Time in this movie is presented as a threat with serious consequences, not something wacky.

      Not necessarily, I've seen a huge amount of hate brought down on the way the science was handled in the movie even though it may be one of the more accurate sci-fi movies to date.

       

      The movie has some story issues, don't get me wrong, but I don't think it was any more than what we were given in Inception.

      The fact that you didn't bring any of the above up in your complaints makes me think you just didn't understand them.

       

      A lot of the backlash this movie seems to be getting is from people who didn't understand what was happening with the science even though they clearly laid it out multiple times.

      3.) A tesseract, here is a concept that has never been touched in popular movies. A four-dimensional cube, something that no human being can intuitively comprehend.

       

      And those are just the unique concepts introduced.

      Robert, there are a multitude of things the movie introduces.

       

      1.) An accurate representation of a wormhole with equations delivered to the VFX team from one of the guys who came up with the theory.

       

      2.) Time as a threat. Time dilation has barely been in movies before, and if it has it's been no where near how this movie used it.
