Can you work for free CB? My friend is shooting a web series this weekend and needs two PAs I believe.

  3. Very disappointed with Father Daughter Time. Considering the $$ I expected a script with NO spelling errors or typos. Plus a better story...

The company where I work bought a script where rogue was spelled as rouge throughout. No one cares about your typing skills just the overall script.

Thanks for the comments. It just didn't do it for me at the end of the day. I don't mean to spout about hard work or requirements, it was just an aggravation :D

  4. Very thankful for this community. My pilot is getting read at a few places and I'm preparing a pitch document for it. You guys rock!!!

I probably walked right past you. I saw the same news van but didn't stay for the line. We are like two birds passing in the night who also haven't met.

I was on a date once when I received coverage. She went to the restroom, I checked my phone and there it was.

The amount of will power I demonstrated the rest of the night was incredible.

Pennsylvania is Hollywood East which is why I'm proud to say I'm a member of the Keystone Mafia, though Philly would've made a better Gotham. Just sayin'.

    4. Cyber Hater

      Cyber Hater

They're just using downtown Pittsburgh as certain parts of Gotham, then patching all the locations together to make "Gotham" hence all the cities being shot in vs just Chicago ala "Dark Knight"

I instantly believe you. I can't get passed the "He walks like he's never walked before. With purpose. With intrigue. Maybe he almost steps on gum. He avoided it. Close call...Kind of stuff in the general area,

Thank you. It was my first 48 hour film festival and I've definitely learned a lot from the experience. Thanks for the honest feedback, this is thick skin :)

I keep hearing creatives cite the show in interviews as an example of writing where you never know what's going to happen next. Ideally, every show should be like that, but I think in this case it's that they continually paint Walt into an impossible corner and then make us wait on the edge of our seat until they reveal his surprise escape.

  11. Welp, black friday has come and mostly gone. Time to write and make the following: 1 Cup of hot cocoa + 1 shot of Peppermint Schnapps. You're welcome.

  12. Went to a prescreening of The Rite. Scriptshadow was right, that thing was freaking awesome!

there was nothing we hadn't seen 100 times before with this movie. To me anyways. It's your typical throw-away, January release horror flick. I'm glad you like it, though.

      boynotorious

You lost me at agreeing with Scriptshadow. Now I won't even bother because I am certain it's a piece-of-crap. Glad you enjoyed it, however. Movies lately have sucked so hard any enjoyment we can get out of them is a gift.

      ThaVillain

I don't think anyone ever hated on flashbacks, its just that you see them done terribly and pointlessly a lot. Same with opening a script with a flash forward. If it serves no purpose, axe it.

    3. StringerBell

      StringerBell

I don't like them as a general rule and almost never use them. They are easy to make funny, imo, but they take me out of the story.

    4. Cdrzewie

      Cdrzewie

The constant flashbacks on the Following are gradually making that show unwatchable

Great sketch. Too true. I know there's rumors of Kristen Wiig leaving, but now I'm wondering if Fred Armisen will leave, too? Portlandia is kicking ass and it just seems like on SNL now he's going for a Holy Moly in every scene, just not giving a shit and having fun.

American Games is about Richard Jewell and the 1996 bombing at the Olympics. Leonardo DiCaprio is producing and Jonah Hill is staring. Problem is, no one has taken up the role of Jewell's lawyer, which needs to be a Matthew McConaughey type.
