It looks different, In a very good way. Also what i think is interesting, is that Joe Wright Jessica Barden, one of the two teenage tearaway girls from Tamara Drewe to play a girl who befriends Hanna. Guess its good for your career tho.

Agreed... but, hopefully his reps will have someone else lined up - it may be at less money - but to be part of the story of what happens to this could be the catalyst for a great movie in of itself ;-p

Got the unofficial (yet from someone who knows) details today - all the numbers were good, but it was the time to production that stalled it. Because it was a low-budget property reps wanted a quick turn into production, but Timur's people wanted to develop more. It was literally 99% sound negotiations, that fell apart in the final hour. Reps felt confident enough in taking it back on to the market, and walked away!

Sounds like the right choice then -- getting parked in development hell is no fun.

Also - what the hell is up with all the crap laughtracks?

Can you believe that was taped in front of a studio audience who had to listen to the same joke for like 20 takes... they were forced to laugh ... hence it sounds forced

To be honest, I read the script wanting to hate the project, because, c'mon 'Zombies Vs Robots'?!!? Seriously?! But then, all of a sudden I found myself clicking through page after page, because, goddamit, the script is action-packed, tight, and just exciting as hell! Nothing truly mind-blowingly original, but for what it is, it's fantastic! And some kickass action setpieces in there too.

Pleasantly surprised by that first act -- a lot of work has gone in there to set up the world and make it all pop. Can see it working as a solid crowd pleaser
