      just out of curiosity, which iPad are you using? I'm thinking about picking up a new iPad (9.7) for writing during the commute. Or perhaps a used iPad Pro.

      Not sure about the iPad but I Writer Duet on iOS made sense to me on my iPhone.

    Does anyone have an recommendations for good, recent comedy pilots? I've read Bless This Mess, Single Parents, Fat Dan The Weatherman -- just looking for a couple more good ones for a little inspiration.

    However you felt about it, Netflix dropping a trailer for The Colverfield Paradox during the super bowl and saying it starts playing after the game is a HUGE game changer. I hope they do that every year.

    So thoughts on the night of finale? I thought it was solid.

      Thought it was solid, too. Kind of missed some of the early tension from the first 3 or so episodes . The more comfortable Naz got behind bars the less, I think, we worried about him. So it made the final 1.5 hour a little less dramatic in that sense. Still the sequence near the end where Naz goes through a seeming endless series of doors before he finally gets out really served as an effective way to ratchet up the tension. I particularly liked the final shot of Naz by the bridge with, k...

      Right -- I mean Catherine the Great -- that seems like a movie. The Rockingham script (haven't read it yet) doesn't immediately scream movie to me but who knows.

      I haven't totally examined it but it feels like a good percentage are based on real events...OJ, Catherine the Great, etc. I'm not sure if it's more than in years past but that's the thing that popped out to me.

      Yep. And I'd say for anyone considering listening that eps 1 & 2 are kind of the setup (exposition) and after that the story really begins. At least that's my impression (caveat: not fully caught up.)

    Rise of the Guardians was the biggest surprise for me of the year. I will totally see it again when it comes out and pay to see it in 3d. It was AMAZING.
