  1. Watched Breaking Dawn last night. I thought it was slow and quite boring, sadly. And I can see why the reviews have been quite negative. It's a shame as the First was quite decent, the second was poor, Eclipse was the best(and the only that interested me was because of David Slades involvement, being a big fan of Hard Candy and 30 Days of Night. Anyone else seen it and what ya think? Hopefully part 2 will be a big improvement.

this is the largest threat to my writing. I have been on a quite successful gaming hiatus, but the force is much too strong

I have read just over half of it. I was really enjoying it and then it turned a bit action/thriller and I didn't like it

  8. Read "Grim Night"... Had me until about 80 pages in, then i just wanted it to end already. I hope they didn't pay american dollars for this thing... Even though the $ is worth nothing nowadays... No but seriously, this could make a semi-decent film... ergh...i guess.

yeah, i did find myself wanting it to end already around that time.

I think the concept rox way more than the actual script -- which I thought ranged from cliche to alright.

So yes, it was actually bringing in a judgement about how I view your script taste. But positively

      LOL

The note behind the note was that you seem the type that is more difficult to please script-wise, so if this one had you until 80 I was more excited to read

had you until 80? that's pretty deep in, I'm excited for this one. It seems interesting.

  12. Saw "Martha Marcy May Marlene." Severly underwhelmed given the buzz around it. Anyone else see it/think otherwise?

  13. Really? Thomas Edison Demon Hunter and Dances with Werewolves? Is it April 1st?

  14. what should I read next: Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, Chronicle, or Broken City?

For any of its shortcomings as a script, the situation is interesting enough for me.

  16. Read the Nicholl winner "Cutter" and can't get it out of my head - highly recommend. Nothing mind bending - just great story telling and a great dilemma

and I read the Nicholl Winner Man of Clay....

      Do NOT recommend.

Has about 20 good pages of mystery and then wowzers does that thing fall down.

  19. "Bitch" is the new "Fuck". How to get over that Bitch. The Bitch in apt 23. Your fiance is a bitch. Inner Bitch. Bitch Bitch Bitch

  20. Can't believe I still haven't seen Attack the Block. It's not playing in my town I would need to drive 5 hours to see it. I've been trying to get a hold of a screener but it's like looking for an needle in a haystack.

  21. Started off my monday having someone from Germany call and pitch a treatment apparently written by a "prophet" who foretold her childrens movie would be bigger than Harry Potter... gonna be a long week

  22. The silence after turning in a draft to producers is deafening.

  23. Really liked the trailer for The Amazing Spider-man. Looks to have alot more gritty realism to it and darker tone. And thinks its nice that they set-up why he ends up with his Aunt and Uncle. But have to say they spoil it at the end with the First Person perspective. looks like the've tried to mimic a combo of Mirror's Edge and Kick-Ass with total CGI.
