  1. A lot of people really liked the passengers script (myself included). Nerdwriter has a very interesting take.

Agreed. I was amazed at how just a simple edit with the footage already shot worked so well with this alternate narrative.

      NO! really!? Sad!

  3. There's something crushingly confusing about reading great specs and learning from them, only to see them actualized in the theaters and get railed over by audiences and critics alike. Read: Nobody. Knows. Anything.

  4. Reading through the Black List Logline Game: Take a drink every time you read the words "based on a true story." See if you live til the end.

LOL. Nailed it. I couldn't believe my eyes at the number of Biopics. Hopefully there will be at least 4 covering the 2016 election next year.

  5. Enjoyed Fantastic Beasts yesterday, now I'm enjoy the screenplay book, which was 1/2 price when pre-ordered at my local Book shop. Only £8.50. Can't complain.

  6. I have a GREAT movie pitch, but it might be too unbelievable: As the top law enforcement official in the United States, the U.S. attorney general, incredibly, met with the husband of a woman under investigation by the FBI in the back of an airplane idling on the tarmac. As a former president, the husband had considerable political clout. Days later the head of the FBI recommended no charges be brought against the woman, to jaw-dropping incredulity. In the aftermath, the head of the FBI finds...

^It's hard to read. That font on that background made it a chore. I didn't agree with every point you made but it was still a very good article and I'd like to read more. The transition at the end to The Revenant was particularly nice.

Because a scene on it's own is nothing without context. And they don't show the scene. They show clips of the scene.

I also found it hilarious that the best scene in the whole movie was spoiled in the trailers and the posters and w/e else the marketing execs touched. Like holy $&*% that is some terrible marketing.

I can see why he's pissed. It's the same reason I got pissed when they remade total recall. He's a purist and so am I. Only difference being, I don't think Total Recall actually happened... It was all a dream!
