  1. Say what you will about Damon Lindelof, I think he makes some good points in this: http://www.vulture.com/2013/08/script-doctor-damon-lindelof-on-blockbuster-screenwriting.html

Once again thanks for the amount and quality of your opinions. Excellent points made on both sides. Obviously a big decision for me and I appreciate all of your inputs.

      To Axlaon,

I have dual BA's in physics and math and a PhD in a similar field was the next logical step. Also my parents are both PhD wielding astronomers and strongly encouraged it.

But the general consensus is that it's completely worthless. Seems it's better to just read scripts and write and get feedback... That pretty much sum it up?

Interesting... I should mention that I am getting my masters in aerospace engineering this winter (I'm in a PhD program). But I've realized I don't want to do anything with it. As for my reason to pursue a MFA in screenwriting, I thought it'd be good to get a different perspective on the screenwriting process. So no I don't want to teach with it. With that being said, I want to give myself the best opportunity to succeed in this business. So is spending two years and rough...

haha. Well they certainly delivered on monster vs robots. But apparently nobody in the near future can speak a sentence without turning it into an unoriginal one liner. Not to mention the fact that it had the worst acting I've seen since the first harry potter movie.
