    Finally made it into the WGA and looking for any advice or suggestions from other members...any words of wisdom to pass on? What events should I go to?! What do you wish you had known about when you got in? Thank you!

      Tye, Welcome to our union! Lookup and join the Writer's Education Subcommittee. (info on wga site). We meet monthly. It is by far the best group in the WGA and hosts some of the union's best events. Great way to get in and network quickly!

    Watched the pilot for "The Strain" today. It's good, but I had hoped for better. It doesn't hit with the impact of Darabont's Walking Dead pilot. Del Toro directed and the casting and performances are a bit rough. Only the first ep, so I'm sure it will find its groove.

      I agree. Was unfortunately disappointed. Not bad, just not anything to get super excited over.

    So my friend at work is a good buddy of a producer of one of the animation domination toons. He asked him if I could submit a spec for the show, the reply was that they dont read specs of their shows, only original pilots...

      Lefty is right :P This is incredibly normal procedure. I'd be very surprised if you were EVER asked for a spec of the show you were submitting to.

    OK -- so I know all the major players in "Dark Knight Rises" + the twists and surprise ending...but I can't tell u guys. I'll have to wait till 2012...if the world is still here :-) I'm serious about the info tho...
