  1. I did a rewrite for a script in Final Draft and my buddy doesn't have the program. Is there anything I can export it to so he can edit??

Get your buddy to install Trilby, it's free and reads fdx files. Or he can edit with notes in Acrobat.

  3. In case anyone should ever lose a script they are working on due to not backing up or the file getting corrupted, there's a gem of a software called Recuva that can help you recover it. Came in handy for me today. Had struggled for 8 hours trying to recover the script until I stumbled on Recuva. So relieved. I was damn near tears, what with the lack of proper support from the good folks at Final Draft.

Sbbn, it addresses the corruption problem in the sense that it recovers the last saved copy of the document before it got corrupted. You may yet lose a few lines or scenes at most, but it's better than losing everything especially if you are at the rewriting stage when you have made some considerable changes to the original script. Of course, nothing beats good old-fashioned back up.

  4. TBers who use tablets to read scripts on (iPad, Kindle Fire, Galaxy Tab) How has your experience been with it? Does it hurt your eyes to read off something like that for extended periods of time?

  7. My psycho-thriller has just been optioned. It's titled: "The Cuckoo's Plight”. Jim Sheridan who directed "My Left Foot" – from which Daniel Day Lewis won an academy award - is onboard as an executive producer.

  8. Working on a script during your day job is still TECHNICALLY being paid to write, right? =)
