    Apparently foreign distributors are really interested in the horror thriller spec I've been working on this summer and want the script ASAP. Has anyone else had to rush write a script before?

      spoiler. after you-know-who "parts," I wasn't sure who to root for and was thinking "ah, they blew it." but then Walt has that phone convo with Skyler and BAM. Back on board.

    Wow...Dexter has really fallen from grace. The past couple of seasons haven't been great, but this season is just awful. Where the hell did the writers of the first two seasons go?

      Dexter is a hit that went on too long for the obvious financial reasons. Nothing new here.

       

      I shudder at the thought of Breaking Bad without an endgame.

      show works so well because writers are true to the characters. no b.s., no compromises. no network telling them crap like "maybe walter and hank could work together to end the meth scourge."

      Tv is changing radically thanks to Netflix etc.

       

      There are no paradigms. World of difference between episodic and serial. World of difference between ad breaks and straight through.

       

      Write the show you want to watch.

    Thanks to this Ben Affleck casting decision, children everywhere will be under the impression that when Bruce Wayne isn't masquerading as Batman, he's masquerading as a blind attorney named Matt Murdock who's masquerading as the Daredevil. Haha!

    Why has the new Star Trek not beat the first one's opening weekend, even with 3D and Imax premiums and an 87% critics rating? It had the best trailer of the year. (No spoilers!)

      word has it that this installment attracted a significantly smaller percentage of under 25s than did the previous. also four years between sequels may be too long for this ADHD world of ours.
