Someone should write a spec called KEPT UNDER WRAPS.
-
Hope A GIRL WALKS HOME ALONE AT NIGHT is the start of a hilarious new trend for spec titles.

A neighbor has somehow attached his computer to my wireless printer. And of course it's script pages.

The "Man of Steel" footage made me tear up. So excited for this!

Just realized Wettest County in the World was renamed Lawless (yeah, I'm a bit slow)... what the hell? Another example of taking a memorable name and turning it into generic mush.

Anyone know any insider dirt about the Rich Ross firing or have any good insight not seen in other reports? Do you think he should have been given more time to prove himself?

How is everyone? So, has MARROW been uploaded yet or no? And, Revenge films? any examples of good ones? Scripts and/or movies would be appreciated.

Big ups to K Ryans for this weeks spec haul. Keep 'em comin'...

Thinking of cranking out my latest rough draft in a remote location, huddle up in a hotel room or sublet/rental. What do you guys/gals/trolls think?
-
Gotta say, its kind of exciting watching the TB guys & Gals break new talent via their coverage program! Go new writers, go!!!

Has anyone read the first 10 of "Nathan Decker"? Could Fogelman have crammed in more exposition? He's really putting the "tell" in "show not tell." I wonder if selling this as a pitch lessened his motivation or something. Very unlike Fogelman.

Wahoo, my script is finally finished! Everything has been checked and is present and correct. And the final amount is 92 pages. And Iam very happy with it. This is the first time I thought its done, what do I do now?

Found out yesterday that one of mates has a mate who had wrote and directed a film called Travellers shown at Cannes in the last couple of years, which had a cameo from Charlie Boorman. He thinks I Should let him take a look at my script. What do you think? The same mate, who is also doing a Graphic novel himself, is going to do some artwork and stills for me.

Hey guys, I am hanging out in CHAT today to answer any questions, etc

Has anyone else read The Incredible True Story of Jessica and Drew who...? I know it's easy to criticize, but oh man was the script lame - felt so dated and uninspired. What did you guys think of it?

'Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy' - Beautifully shot & performed, overrated nonsense.

Didn't mind the pacing, love slow-burn flicks. But the editing and chronological presentation of the narrative was unnecessarily convoluted. And the ultimate reveal of who the mole was ended up being anti-climactic.
Felt like it was made for people familiar with the source material already.
Eff this film. Eff this film in the fayce! [Lol, not nearly that vitriolic about this flick, but pretty damn close ]

New Year, new goals. Asking for thoughts on contests and which ones I should definitely submit to. ?

For the same cost (or close to) you can just enter your script into the Tracking Board coverage service. A 'recommend' = them pimping you all over their feeds, etc.
It's the same basic result as a screenwriting contest (exposure for you and your script), but with a quicker turn-around (a few days to a few weeks, as opposed to the multi-month procedure of contests), and the bonus of having notes to revise/rewrite off.
Not trying to shill, just offering an alt...

Just left the first six minutes of Dark Knight Rises. Oh my...

Big Nolan fan, but his track record with sound design leads me to fear that Bane's voice won't be altered that much at all, and somehow these choices are all part of Nolan's aesthetic (see Watanabe's sometimes-hard-to-understand accent in 'Inception' smothered in booming score; And ditto for the Scarecrow in Batman Begins)
