Testing out the black list. Anyone have a really good experience with the site?

I could be way off here, but I thought there were safeguards against that. Like when a script is assigned to a reader, they don't have access to the other reviews for that script, etc. Now maybe if they have another BL account for their personal use, they can work around that, of course. Again, I could be wrong

If you're on the TB Forum right now instead of seeing "The Edge of Seventeen", then you are doing life wrong. Go see it (unless you already have)!

Loving the choice of Walton Goggins in Tomb Raider, pumped for it.

Black List 2017: Harry Carey biopic (dibs), Cubs world series multi-biopic (bobbylaw), Cubs world series win 1908 (Gary Graham)

Congratulations, it must feel pretty remarkable. I'm reminded of that great quote from Almost Famous - "They don't even know what it is to be a fan. Y'know? To truly love some silly little piece of music, or some band, so much that it hurts." You can say they same about being a sports fan - it's really difficult work.

What was the last "fun" script you read?

Ugh. It feels like it's been a while. Last month I finally read the short story "Sell Out" by Simon Rich that Seth Rogen optioned a few years back. It's one of the funniest things I've read in years. It's posted in 4 or 5 parts on The New Yorker if you wanna google if you haven't read it yet. Won't regret.

There's a widely accepted structural perimeter, or axiom in screenwriting that generally insists on character arc. "In what ways is your character different in the end from in the beginning?" Consider Anton Chigurh in No Country For Old Men and Daniel Plainview in There Will Be Blood. I see no arc in who they are as people/characters. Yes, the story itself has an arc, but how are either of these characters different in the end from the beginning? Other examples of such?

I think in any movie, either the character has to change, or their circumstances have to. Like in "The Pursuit of Happyness" - his character doesn't change much, but by the end he has a job at Dean Witter. In "There Will be Blood" Daniel Plainview is in a much different place at the end of the movie then he was at the beginning.

Any 2015 Hit List/ Black List scripts outside of the Top 10 really good and worth reading? Thanks in advance for suggestions.

Just got a recommend. Many thanks to those who sent me notes upon notes.

Blacklist read recommendations? Usually it's pretty easy for me to find scripts on the list that impress but this time, after quite a few false starts, I've been struggling to find anything I want to read (or, if I did read, glad that I did).

I know it's just a teaser, but that JOY trailer is unrecognizable as the excellent script I read. Since when does she fire a gun?? I hope David O. Russell didn't just throw away all of Annie Mumolo's work

Any opening credit sequence montages that you liked?
