  1. Next question for writers: have you ever received payment for net points on the back end of a deal? I'd be stunned if anyone has, but asking anyway.

      Working for one of the biggest management companies in town, I can tell you "backend" usually only tends to make it to the overwhelmingly established guys. I mean, Peter Jackson had to sue to get his backend on the Lord of the Rings films because the studio was still claiming losses on their billion dollar franchise. So, I can say, when it comes to backend negotiations it is usually done knowing they likelihood of receiving anything is next to nothing.
