like i switched from notebooks because it's more expensive and my pens kept dying. i was upset at first how my writing became more simplistic when i switched to a device but i realized later on that it was lack of experience that caused this. with whatever method you use be cognizant of the words themselves because the freedom you allow yourself does affect the spontaneous of your speech and computers are known to stifle that!

I find when I handwrite (which I do sometimes for first draft screenplays) my writing is more succinct and there's a lot less fluff to be excised.

I've been using Scrivener more and more for outlining. Also it helps for organizing blog posts.
