  1. Great ending. Much better than "cut to black..."

Loved it. That's how you end a series. Re: Jack's death- Walt shooting Jack in the head mid-sentence (a la Hank's death) was enough for me.

I agree that the machine gun is for Todd and his uncle, but I don't see Walt wanting to save Jesse. As far as he's concerned, Pinkman's already dead.

Otherwise, I agree with benskelly2. Plus, director Rian Johnson's THR interview confirms that the purpose of the "Mama" scene was to change Walt's mind. The EW quote/link I posted earlier was from writer Moira Walley-Beckett herself. It's not a theory. It was the intention.

Well, I don't think Walt took Holly initially as a plan to clear Skyler. I think he was ruled more by emotion at that point. His wife pulled a knife on him and his son called the cops on him. The baby's the only family member who doesn't see him as a monster. It's the bathroom scene where Holly's first word is "Mama" that causes him to change heart and leads to the phone call and dropping Holly off with the firemen.

"It’s one last attempt to make some small gesture toward saving the family that he’s already lost. And baby Holly was the last piece. He realized that he couldn’t do it. What was fascinating about writing that scene was that the vestiges of Walter White had to play Heisenberg who’s a very real part of him and not the other way around. He had to identify the monstrous qualities of himself in order to effect the lie and protect his family."- Moira Walley-Beckett http://insidetv.ew.com/2...

  7. loving the new poster for the Dark Knight Rises...

  8. I'm confused about the Dark Knight Rises prologue. I got tix for next Friday's M:I4 to see it, but it's actually debuting TONIGHT? And in front of which movies?

Nomadwriter's right. The prologue's with IMAX M:I-4 and trailer's with SH2. I think the trailer was always meant to be in front of Holmes anyway.

Agreed with Elliot79. There's still much more to be wrapped up and there's no way the series will end with Walt getting away scot-free for everything he's done.

  10. I've also got a lot of kudos for my articles on INCEPTION http://tinyurl.com/3mnbzpv and THE DARK KNIGHT http://tinyurl.com/3hd7fex. Agree, disagree, hate Nolan?

Very interesting breakdowns, Dan. A few inaccuracies in Dark Knight, though: "Moroni" is spelled Maroni in the script, Gordon is a Lieutenant not a Captain, the previous police Commissioner is killed during the party (not the Mayor), and I believe Joker's line in the hospital is actually "Oh, and you know the thing about chaos? It's fair" not "fear."

  12. With over 20 reviews in, X-Men First Class has gotten 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes

Just went down to 96 due to QuickFlix's review. While that was bound to happen at some point, a lower RT rating isn't going to stop me from seeing this. Still excited.

  13. Saw preview screening of "Immortals" -- some beautiful shots, but boy is this a bad version of "300", "Clash of the Titans", and "Gladiator"... Costumes ROCKED tho!

  14. Sent to manager. Now to see if it's worth a shit.

  15. Anybody submitting (or has submitted) TV scripts to Scriptapalooza or Script Pipeline competitions? Just curious what other people's experiences have been...

  16. anyone know anything about the "Thor" script that was apparantely leaked yesterday on the Comic Book Movies forum then deleted?

I didn't download the script from CBM, but I'm pretty sure it was legit. The CBM user's review and script excerpts matched up with the cut of the film I saw.
