    2. boynotorious

      boynotorious

Seriously. Could you take any longer. I am wondering if I should bother reading this thing at this point. It's kinda bulky.

    3. Cyber Hater

      Cyber Hater

@BoyNo: it's a personal challenge to read & review this...and it is bulky. Been busy with fam in town at Ritz, then i've been outlining my next script. Haven't read shit but the Hollywood Reporter in a cab home. Going to read & review thurs morn 100%

  4. is working on a crazy crime film with a heist -- watching "Rififi" and "Le Cercle Rouge" for inspiration

      Cyber Hater

Lol -- they're in the cue...

  5. OK -- so I know all the major players in "Dark Knight Rises" + the twists and surprise ending...but I can't tell u guys. I'll have to wait till 2012...if the world is still here :-) I'm serious about the info tho...

if you're serious, why would you post this unless you were going to share? lol.

Keep those plot twists in the crazy mind of yours Hater. Wanna save em for the Imax :D. Just answer me this: Do we have another spiderman-3? Or a legit sequel?

      solipsistic11

If you're gonna tease this, you may as well change your name to cyber hated.

Seriously though, have they one-upped bat nipples with bat mooseknuckle?

  6. read "Uprising" just now... Kick Ass... and as i'm enjoying it, i'm like "this would be a killer Vin Diesel vehicle..." Then i realize David Twohy wrote all my fav Diesel flicks (Riddick being in my top 20 "can watch anytime" list)... Is this just a spec??? Don't see anything on imdbpro about a sale

    1. Cyber Hater

      Cyber Hater

      i know it's old...

    2. admin

      admin

Not sure who it originated with, but Twohy was one of the writers to do a draft (Charles Leavitt and Brad Caleb Kane after him). It' still in "development" though not active, and Twohy has nothing to do with it anymore (which is disheartening). According to studiosystem, Columbia has it, with Wolfgang Petersen still attached to direct, and Red Wagon producing. But still... no Twohy.

LOL. I thought it was funny...

    3. treyselman

      treyselman

      Kitchen Sink 3D?

  9. Ok -- so right now Trey Parker & Matt Stone + Will Ferrell + Danny McBride are all somewhere licking their chops at the feeding frenzy of fuel that comes in the form of Charlie Sheen's quotes...Winning!

    1. liveon2legs

      liveon2legs

I thought Charlie was just quoting Step Brothers and The Other Guys

  12. What should I read next..."Double Indemnity" or "Body Heat"?

    1. specwriter

      specwriter

I'll say Body Heat because I actually read it in film school and it's a very solid script. (at least I thought so when I was 20.) I watched Double Indemnity last year and didn't think it measured up to Sunset Boulevard, but what does?

    2. Elliott79

      Elliott79

      Re-read Harry Valentine.

  13. What's the sexiest script you've ever read or can remember reading? Serious answers please

    1. AliM

      AliM

The guy at the copy shop once accidentally printed one of my scripts onto glossy, photo paper. My god, did that shit look sexy! Took my freshly printed draft of 'Vampires Vs Robots 2: The Revengening' straight home and immediately started rubbing my d!ck all over it. But what did it expect? A script lays around, dressed all shiny like that... looks like IT WANTS IT!

Oh, wait. You said "serious answers" only. :P

      Nic.Lishko

    2. boynotorious

      boynotorious

Snore. We already know there is nothing going on in there. :)

  16. Watching "Inception" on Blu-Ray...again!

      Nic.Lishko

Heard just a bit of the rifftrax version. I chuckled.

    2. boynotorious

      boynotorious

Man that thing rocks if you have the right setup. Wish there was more to the entire package however. It's almost certainly going to be an annoying double dip situation.

  17. Anyone see the supposed teaser 3 pages f "Kill Bill 3"? I hope this is fake

    1. boynotorious

      boynotorious

      It is. No worries.

    2. Cyber Hater

      Cyber Hater

figured. action lines weren't bad, but the whole thing was faux Tarantino dejour

  18. oh shit - Will Beall scribing the "Lethal weapon" reboot! NOW i'm excited!

    1. boynotorious

      boynotorious

About what? This is the dumbest news this side of the latest board game adaption. Scrape the barrel and piss the fans off a bit more and just reboot Beverly Hills Cop with Tracy Morgan already. Or wait... Why not reboot Die Hard with Ashton Kutcher as John McClane. I could careless who is doing the writing, this is nothing short of Cinematic Rape at concept.

    2. Cyber Hater

      Cyber Hater

i forgot - ur Shane's boy... but nonetheless -- Beall kicks ASS! So at least I know the script will be good...

even though Tom Hardy as Riggs and Denzel as Murtagh would be kinda good!

  19. 113 pages into my 3D Action Adventure spec. 30 more pages to go :-D I'm a lunatic!

    1. RDMK

      RDMK

  20. Can anyone name a spec that sold for over $1.5Million last year -- besides "snow white/huntsman", "safe house", and Fogleman's 2... Thanks!

    1. LeftyJones

      LeftyJones

first time i saw a screener, wasn't impressed. but now i have blu-ray -- am gonna re-watch with open mind. Angie's fallen off lately, but i recall there being some good action scenes. sp will let you know in a day or 2

  22. Ok not to sound batty or naive - but isn't Shane Black the most revolutionary writer of the past 30years or what?! Going thru "Long Kiss Goodnight" and I don't know what to do -- like do I write a spec right now or what? That's how amped I am by the ease and POWER of his wordplay...

    1. tbwhite

      tbwhite

Yeah, I felt the same way when I read LETHAL WEAPON for the first time.T here was definitely a paradigm shift in the way screenplays were written when he came upon the scene. The energy in his writing is infectious!

    2. Cyber Hater

      Cyber Hater

it's like your buddy who tells awesome stories is writing the shit! I see all these imposters out and then i go back to a script from 95 and it SONS all these newbies

      LeftyJones

So with you there CH... Maybe I started zoning and missed something -- but ####SPOILER ######

The whole antagonist goal was to study the tech that made him tick? Wasn't that tech designed on earth 300 years ago? So wouldn't they already have it? Just asking -- cuz you know that's the whole conflict of the movie and it makes zero sense. But again, I zoned so maybe I missed an explanation.

    2. Cyber Hater
