Star Wars IS merchandising that's like going to a football game and complaining about all the players running into each other. Disney the world's biggest entertainment conglomerate didn't plunk down 4billion dollars because they are lovers of good sic fi they paid that much because Star Wars is the biggest brand on the planet.

Were those movies developed by the studio or were they negative pick ups? I think both were handled by the respective production companies (Wells and Bullock) and then the studios picked them up because "hey- Sandra bullock movie."

Also I don't if anyone knows this but Effie's produced 17 movies

I'm so glad i get to talk about this with somebody. Smart of Peter Farelly to get away from that show once he realized they are interested in making a realty show and not an actual movie
