  1. Happy Holidays to one and all. Just like to say this consistently stays a great resource. Thanks to all the contributors - Hit List, Black List, FYC scripts, old scripts, spec scripts, TV scripts. Just great. Thank you. Now make sure you read some of the scripts instead of just having a million of them. So much to learn. Never give up on your writing dreams. Never ever.

I would be remiss not to mention K. Ryans. :)

Write for yourself and not the market. But that's just me.

  4. If you are an aspiring screenwriter who wants desperately to tell the stories that pop in your head at all hours of the day, the FUCKING IGNORE all this nonsense, about what is a sale and what isn't. Jesus. The people talking about this the most, won't be around in two years. Get a bottle. Stand in a lightning storm and pray you capture it. Or just write great stuff. You do the math.

Mike is totally right. Don't chase your tail. It gets you nowhere. Aim to be relevant and original and then maybe...

  7. Just posted the review in W-I-P for the lowest rated Black List script I've ever seen. (HINT: It's mine).

  8. Ahhh, only 3 days left of the holiday. I need something amazing to read for fun before I go back to reading lots and lots for work. Thoughts?

  9. Can an Admin fix the site so we can post? Thanks.

  10. As someone who regularly questions his sanity and abilities in this uncertain and often agonizing endeavor, I'd like to extend a big, blanket loving thanks to all you TBers who have shared your work here. With so many stories around us, just sheer numbers, it's easy to forget that every screenplay is in some ways evidence of a battle. Proof its author tangled with the abyss, and emerged to write another day. Presenting it to the world then takes a whole other kind of courage.

  11. Favor Request: I just dropped into W-I-P a writing sample I was thinking of using to approach tv lit agents. If you have 10 minutes, can you read and let me know thoughts? Happy to provide feedback on others' projects as well.

  12. CAPTAIN CAREW'S COLOSSAL INTERGALACTIC ALIEN ZOO, a fun family sci-fi adventure that won't make adults cringe. Lots of oppty's for plush furry toys for McDonald's Happy Meals. Still available, have producer interest.

All your focus should be on the script. All of it.
