I love you Jonesy, but do you really find Thor compelling? I gotta agree with Axalon on this. Super Heros. Why? Remember when people used to quote lines from movies they loved. Gimme one quote from the last half dozen super hero movies. "I love the smell of napalm in the morning."
Superhero sequels suffer to compete against origin stories. Powers are fun but HOW they get them is always more entertaining. Smart sequels focus on the origin story of the most interesting villain.
