Yeah... great way to pull someone into the script. I am definitely going to read tonight/finish it!

I really enjoyed the read, but I'm not convinced what kind of movie it makes. The nightmares were the most enticing (and cinematic) aspects of the script, but the threat of being shut down--the external conflict--was just not as present as I think it might need to be to make a compelling film.

I'm barely into it and its very well written. But... I probably know too much history for my own good. Spielberg refused to make the movie unless he didn't have to show the shark until the end so the imaginary scene for the opening sequence where the shark jumps out of the water was just hokey to me. Maybe I just need to read more... Reminds me of that scene in Chewie where Lucas comes up with the idea of a character named Indiana Jones. That pissed me off (I'm a very volatile per...
