    Star Wars and I have the quintessential abusive relationship. Each time it says to come back, it's changed. But every time it ends with me in tears.

      Lucas is batting 3/6 while I'm wracking my brain for a JJ film I've enjoyed.

      Ah, I see what you did there. You're only counting Star Wars movies. Okay, I can't think of a JJ Star Wars film I've enjoyed either... YET.

       

      But his ability to make even someone like me take an interest in the Star Trek franchise certainly bodes well.

       

      Same for MI:3, IMO still the best in that franchise.

       

      JJ has a knack for taking a franchise and reviving it - kinda the opposite of Mr. Lucas, so in that way it's a perfect match.
