I thought it was put on the backburner because it didn't do well as a whole (100 mill to make/231 million dollars worldwide). I could have sworn I read that Sony got cold feet and just backed off making them. I hope they do though...they should go forward with making them since there is such a large, international audience for them. Hire Fincher, block out 6-8 months in Sweeden, shoot them back to back and put them out. I want to see the other two...I'm sure many people do as well.

And, I think Zallian turned in the screenplay for the second movie right after the Oscars last year I think...
