    Has anyone on here (ANYONE) ever gotten a job that's posted in the jobs section? If so, can you tell us a bit about your experience?

      I have 3 friends who all landed their jobs off the job lists. They also went for about 100 interviews before getting those jobs. Landing industry jobs is not easy! Last time we put an ad up for an assistant job at our company we had over 500 resumes by the end of the first day. And that was for a relatively LOW paying assistant job with 1-year agency experienced required. So, yeah, there's that. Ha.

      But honestly. I don't think a 3% response rate would be beyond the norm. [Especially if you don't have many contacts.] Tough industry, still lean economy. Keep grinding. Make Linkedin work for you and [though it probably isn't what you want] take an unpaid internship in the mean time. It's the quickest way to get a recommendation, to get networked in or get hired.
