Anyone else mildly annoyed by the spec "racing into territories" hype? Producers bring specs into territories. That's just the way it works. A spec going into territories is not particularly newsworthy.
For those of us who's job it is to track material on the market and to know who's buying what (as I do in my day job) it's essential. Of course producers take territories - it's knowing who is taking what into a studio, and which studios are looking for and buying what.
