      That would make a great movie actually - just read a story about the guy who both founded them and then brought them down - an Aussie. And the irony is that they (ones making money off the sites) tipped off the FBI that he was coming to the US. So in turn he revealed their schemes and details...

       

      Great drama - be a good one for Aaron Sorkin...

    Free logline idea - THE SLIP-UP - A career criminal who fakes workers comp slip-and-fall injuries finds himself at the mercy of his new apartment complex neighbor, a 12-year-old kid who catches him faking and starts blackmailing him to keep quiet.

      Instead of a career criminal, make him a public school teacher dying of some disease, and he has to win enough comp cases before he dies to support a family with special needs. Just riffing here.

      Opie - it'd have to be a real real real slow death. In the situation you give - the guy would be better off trying to set up one personal injury case - maybe by throwing himself in front of a rich guy's car or something. For anyone looking to get rich quick - the US legal system isn't the first place I'd go.

    Free script idea for comedy writers -- SHELTERED: In the vein of DUMB & DUMBER and ELF. After their overprotective mother dies, a 30-something brother and sister who still believe that babies come from storks and have no clue about crime or danger venture cross-country from rural Texas to urban California to find their long-lost father, an aging porn star.

      Yeah I know it's average, but It felt way longer to me. It's a script I read and loved way back when, then heard so and so are attached.... nope they've left the project and so on. Seemed like one of those scripts that would never make it to screen.

       

      Glad it's finally here.
