I'd watch character drama, but there needs to be a clear mission from the start, none of this "surprise twist 30% of the way through the story." Make the objectives clear, then put in the character drama. Character should be the focus anyway, but this was poorly handled. It's not Dexter levels yet, but we'll see.

This season should have been Carrie, Quinn and Saul as the central focus. Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy esque hunt for the mole in a decimated CIA while cleaning up the fallout. This is not what I expected (to a degree. Ask Myst, I called the mole's identity during the Season 2 finale).

Yea, what the hell kind of pacing is that? That reveal should have been the pilot. If it takes four episodes to crystallize an arc, there's a problem. And what's the point of keeping Brody around? Then there's "the scene" - either bad writing or just telegraphing the Mole's ID.

I was actually a bit disappointed with what they did to Jesse this season. Everything else was fantastic though. missed opportunity: "I made up my mind 10 minutes ago, Jack"

Dustin, it ends tonight. If your internet can handle it, spoof a US IP and buy it off of iTunes. So worth it. That said, tonight could result in mass rioting, suicides and just general internet bitching. I can only hope that since Dexter was so bad, the universe will reward us with an excellent finale.

whoarethoseguys: I watched Children of Earth before Series 1 and 2 - no foreknowledge required as it's pretty easy to figure out the relationships. Bits of information you should know going in: The lead, Captain Jack, is immortal. Torchwood is a (poorly kept) secret government program tasked with eliminating alien threats. That's all you need to know. That said, it rewards fans with little nods to the first two series.

First two series are a bit iffy, but solid as a whole. The third series is a political/scifi thriller - best 5 hours of television I've watched from BBC. Series 4 is interesting but falls a little short. Barrowman is stellar throughout.

The only star wars prequels that are canon are the ones i've outlined in my mind. I'll say this: the villains are interesting, but a response to Batman's presence. He's the light that draws the insects out at night. This series would probably just focus on the deterioration of Gordon's faith and principles while seeing the blatant corruption going on around the city...which could really just be any cop show. SHIELD was clunky, but enjoyable - I think it will last if it doesn't pull a Heroes.

It's on Fox...and the press release/reportings suggest that the Batman rogues gallery of villains will appear in the series...without the Batman.

Yea, GC would be a good series to adapt. The biggest stumbling block is it being a pre-Batman series. Although the breaking down of the Gordon character into the sad sack he is at the start of BB would be interesting.

I'm actually glad they cut that - it's too big a fake out/breaks from the real tone they'd set throughout.

Frobisher: No, ending of the spec is pretty much the same - my comment was that SPOILER ALERT - when Loki has his showdown with Mrs. Jones, he loses his eye. I commented that they'd definitely change that - and they did.
