  1. I know everyone is different and everyone has their go-to coverage analyst, but I really wanted to show some love for www.scriptexaminer.com. I have used everyone from Black List to TB and several independents and Ashish coverage is THE best out there for the money. My last round of coverage resulted in 3 thorough pages of notes and I can't say it wasn't his suggestions that got my script in the shape it needed to be in to land me a manager. Just a friendly tip to those in need.

Ashish gives excellent notes, great guy too.

  2. Send some good vibes to fellow TB'r Larry Lasky: He's got a spec going out! http://www.tracking-board.com/rift-spec/

  3. In a galaxy far, far away, I co-wrote a small straight to DVD arthouse movie called Hard Target 2. Trailer's out.

  4. I urge everyone to get stuck into the TB Runway pilot reviews. Andrew and Ashish are on fire. Variety and Deadline should snap them up.

  5. Tips for Berlinale, anyone?

  6. I don’t normally toot my own horn, but... my western script “DEATH OF A LEGEND” is the Grand Prize Winner in the StoryPros Screenwriting Competition, beating out almost 1,000 other screenplays. Tracking Board coverage from DB and JT helped me improve the script, so a very big thanks to them. I’m hoping the win will help me in my quest to find a manager.

  7. As writers, you might like this short film that I worked on. It stars Paul Scheer, Natasha Leggero, Kristen Schaal, Ken Marino & Milo Ventimiglia.

  8. So I ended up winning best comedy feature at Austin. I'm still trying to process the whole experience, but I can't say enough good things about the festival!

  9. After reading the reviews for Burnt, I wonder: What's worse, having your screenplay never made? Or having it turned it a terrible movie?

The standard of film criticism is appalling these days.

I know flashsandstone is speaking generally in his question, but people should see Burnt, on DVD if not at the cinema, and form their own opinion instead of taking the word of hack critics.

“How does this trash even get made?” said Katherine Hubbard, a mother of three from Rockford, IL, who, after buying tickets for the Pixar film Inside Out, was incensed that her children had been exposed to original storytelling.

  11. Well, I'm in the Austin finals with a comedy. Nervous and excited to be heading to Austin (first time!). Anyone else going? I'd love to meet up...

  12. I vote for a set chat time on Friday's. Suggestions welcomed.

  16. Script locked and uploaded to TB Features. Best of luck to all the other entrants.

  17. Very happy I don't want to read the Ghostbusters script.

  18. Oh man, MR. ROBOT officially has jumped the shark. Increasingly uneven and increasingly disappointing.

I turned it off half way through the first episode tbh, when he arrived at Slater's Tron-like former arcade. I'm guessing it improves.

Rami Malek's performance in The Pacific is extraordinary.
