I agree, Axalon, about the trailers bit. Beyond just hyperactive editing, I'd much rather get a "taste" for the movie or the mood/tone of it than walk away from the trailer feeling like I'd seen an outline for the entire movie, including the ending.

I'm a big James Gunn and marvel fan, so I've been waiting for this and it didn't disappoint. Really fun trailer. Like the way rocket has been captured. Funny thing, Groot only says I am Groot. So diesel isn't going to get many lines. Obviously he did motion capture so he is properly Groot.

Never read Guardians, but was tone always so Giffen/Dematteis in the books? Wish I had now. I loved their JL.

  3. Absolutely loved the "X-Men: Days of Future Past" trailer. Character focused and emotional.

looks like too much stuff is going on in the story. too many characters. hopefully it won't be a big mess.

Ryan Reynolds is flat out annoying -- and will ruin this like all his other turds...

That was a blast. Duncan Jones is absolutely on fire right now. Sucks he can't get MUTE financed. I would absolutely love to see that thing realized outside of a funny book.

    4. DarkDestroyer

      DarkDestroyer

Yeah I was really looking forward to "Mute" as well, hopefully the graphic novel will be just as great as the script. It will depend on the artist methinks.

Still early in the book,it hasn't hit its stride yet -- wasn't too impressed with the Swedish film but Fincher's trailer rocks so I'm probably there.

TDKR was the most ambitious conclusion to a trilogy ever. It doesn't have to be perfect to be enjoyed. It was a great film.

    3. Escapist

      Escapist

according to the logic of the movie, Bane's in his 50's... or damn near it.

    4. DarkDestroyer

      DarkDestroyer

It has flaws...no doubt about that. To me though I was entertained enough that I choose to overlook them. Those flaws didn't "ruin" the film for me or make it any less awesome.

  11. enjoyed PA3 more than PA2 but really wants the original arc resolved now. I am calling a PA4 next Oct

      benskelly2

Don't get your hopes up too high, DD. All the action shown is in the first ten minutes, very little after that and there's more of the Craig era "personal drama" that makes it as joyless and dark as the last two entries. I think they have forgotten what made Bond special to begin with.

    3. Hasmap

      Hasmap

couldn't agree more with you DD. Looks brilliant. Love the cheeky touch with the cuffs. And, okay, Solace was rubbush, but anyone who says Casino Royale was bad in anyway, doesn't know anything about Bond movies. Period. Craig is up there with Connery and Brosnan as the tops Bonds. Dalton was not bad. Lazenby and Moore were rubbish.

    4. benskelly2

      benskelly2

Hasmap - There is no such thing as "period" when it comes to opinion, period. Sorry. I have been a Bond fanatic for four decades and I think I know what James Bond is supposed to be. Craig is a fugly humorless thug with absolutely no style, charm, sophistication or wit - all the things that make Bond different from every other grunting action hero. CR might have been the greatest Bond film ever if it just had someone else as 007. Furthermore, I have read the script for Skyfall....

      Bodhi1701

Of course, back when that happened, no one knew how bad Indy IV was gonna be.

  19. Benedict Cumberbatch has joined the cast of the Untitled Star Trek Sequel along with Noel Clarke! So far an impressive cast along with Alice Eve and Peter Weller!

    1. Hasmap

      Hasmap

I'm pleased for Cumberbatch as i think he's a really good actor. But Noel Clarke is a no, no. I'm sorry this guy can't act to save his life. Now don't get me wrong, I'm big fan of 4.3.2.1,which is his best work to date. Buy he really is rubbish and shouldn't be in Star Trek 2

Don't gooooo -- unless ur seeing on FULL 4story IMAX screen. Only way to endure that visual fast food fugazi Matrix shit Snyder made...and I'm a HUGE Dnyder fan!

I know Superman will be good...cuz he didn't write it, Nolan will baby it lol, and they won't let him pick that goddamn music!

    2. Zoned

      Zoned

Wow. That bad? I was hoping for a breakout hit for Emily Browning. Guess, I will resume hoping again. (My hoping theme music tends to meld into a Howard Shore soundtrack. So, it should provide an ample firewall to guard against Snyder hacking in to Guest DJ and ruin the melody of my hope theme.) Oh well... Go, Robot Jox! Umm... I mean, Transformers!
