  1. Read a fantastic bio-script, A BOY AND HIS TIGER. Really enjoyed it! Best bio film I've read since MUPPET MAN.

  2. Fellow TB'ers Dominic Morgan and Matt Harvey who recently sold HYPERARIC and are soon to sell THE CONTROLLER are in town and I had the pleasure of their company last night in Venice. Couple great guys and very talented writers.

  3. What are you writing this weekend?

  4. Finally saw Prisoners - totally called what they were going to change with re: the finale. Woot, Woot! Go see it if you haven't already!

  5. I don't think a episode of television has ever made me feel this emotionally numb.

one of the few episodes of television where I was in tears crying from start to finish and NOT MUCH has touched me like that on tv. Breaking Bad is so fucking amazing...I really don't want it to end...

  6. James Cameron isn't lying when he says that Gravity is the best space film ever made. Simple plot, lean and effective - nice use of theme, music's intense and it's a nail biter. But the visuals, my god. Several members of the audience who partook of herb were freaking out. I can't imagine what they saw but what I saw was beautiful.

  7. really enjoyed YOU'RE NEXT. a smart horror thriller that's a modern AND THEN THERE WERE NONE

  8. Got a head ache from watching elysium. i was hoping the dreadful paul greengrass style of shooting action scenes died off... one of many many things wrong with elysium

  9. Works in Progress Experiment... I'm gonna try some fun writing sprint exercises in W.I.P. section this weekend. Will go from Idea->Title->Outline->Completed 1st Draft Pilot. Follow along and watch me fail (or succeed).

  10. OK - Padre was a fast and engaging read... also read In the Heart of the Sea.

  11. Just posted my TV pilot to Works in Progress. Would love a female perspective!

  13. Broadchurch adaptation on Fox...seriously? Just air the original.

  14. Pacific Rim was FRIGGIN' AWESOME! Audience clapped in multiple places. Look for a huge Saturday bump.

  15. Anyone know of any examples of movies that are psychological horror/thriller? :)

  16. Brilliant casting for the Strain series. Check out the books before though!

  17. you know how much of screenwriting is simplifying? i'd say most of it

  18. Why has the new Star Trek not beat the first one's opening weekend, even with 3D and Imax premiums and an 87% critics rating? It had the best trailer of the year. (No spoilers!)

it was meh. It was 30 minutes too long, characters weren't that developed, and the fact that the villain was WAY more interesting than everyone else in the movie was also part of it for me. Plus, I know the hype machine is pushing Chris Pine as a *star*, but wow was he so not good in this one. Though, Zachary Quinto as Spock fighting Khan was both hilarious and a bit awesome. Uhura getting more lines this time around but *STILL* getting nothing to do WAS NOT. I would give this outing a 6...
