Anyway to read some of the top 10 scripts? Very curious to see how the stories played out and what the judges considered top 10.

Okay, I know it's a cliche old standby, but... What is the best (still) unproduced script you've ever read?

Cold in July is a great read. Excellent plot turns to keep the reader engaged.

So I ended up winning best comedy feature at Austin. I'm still trying to process the whole experience, but I can't say enough good things about the festival!

Well, I'm in the Austin finals with a comedy. Nervous and excited to be heading to Austin (first time!). Anyone else going? I'd love to meet up...

A lot of great screenwriting lessons can be gleaned from the musical Hamilton. Worth a listen on Spotify -- especially "My Shot"

Hey, did you guys know that Effie's made 17 movies?!

Stringer: I haven't been watching Greenlight and tried to watch the show post Effie Brown. But, I see your points. But, I do understand where she is coming from also. The show is weird in that so much of what we see is edited fully for dramatic effect and reaction. I don't know how much of that is really her or just very clever editing on the show...

Saw The Gift last night. A really good movie. Joel Edgerton most definitely has the chops to be a damn good writer-director...

Looks like I made the first cut for this year's Nicholl.

So thoughts about the Suicide Squad sizzle trailer that "leaked" yesterday? Honestly, I loved it! Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn *MIGHT* be an inspired casting choice that going to make her a star it seems. I can't wait to see it when it comes out next year!

Good news? "Terminator: Genisys" isn't as bad as expected. Bad news? It's still not good.

Do any of you writers use outlining software, or do you typically just stick with Word?

The plus and minus regarding the MR. ROBOT pilot (now streaming on USA network.com) The plus: intelligent, well told, very well acted, smartest show on TV The minus: intelligent, the smartest show on TV. Just like Rubicon, too smart for the American public, and that's a damn shame.
