  1. Just started watching The League on FX. Probably one of the funniest shows I've seen in a long time.

  2. Just saw the trailer for "Your Highness" and have to admit, I'm excited to see it.

How many votes for Your Highness looking WAY better than Green Lantern!!!

double down on your highness. plus cowboys and aliens. universal's fortunes may be turning around in 2011.

  3. I've been reading A Serious Man script that I got out of the library. Is it just me, or is this thing a transcript? So many spelling errors, and awkward transitions, it can't be the actual script. Anyone else notice this?

That surprises me, I would think studio drafts wouldn't have so many errors, spelling or otherwise.

Coen's are infamous for this kind of stuff...Burn After Reading was a pain to get through.

  4. Just read Looper. Loved it, had me completely sucked into the world, but, not sure about that ending . . . anyone else have any thoughts?

Couldn'tmake it past pg65. Didn't care about characters. Young Joe actually looking to bring in his older self to save himself now was dumb. The scarring, as mentioned above, was good. As well as the limb thing. But cud blu and all that stuff got annoying

yeah. I didn't care about the characters either. I think he is just going for something darker so he isn't really concerned about that but who knows.

I figured it was the typical action film, character that is not very deep. I ended up rooting for old Joe instead of young Joe.

  5. Just read Terriers and then watched the pilot episode. This is a hell of a show!

  6. I was glad to see that The Walking Dead pilot turned out better than I had thought, though I still think it read better than what ended up on the screen.

I think it started out solid, was a little heavy-handed in the middle, but quickly picked up pace again building towards the end.

The script worked much better than the filmed pilot. I was blown away by the script, but just kinda enjoyed the show.

  7. Had a blast in Austin, feels good to sleep in my own bed again.

Black Swan was fantastic, Bloodworth was ok, got to watch 12 Monkees with David and Janet Peoples with a Q and A afterwards. Hit more conferences than films actually.

  8. Will be attending a Black Swan screening in Austin today, I can't wait. I'll let you know what I think about it tomorrow.

It was pretty amazing actually. made my wife cry like a baby, but then again she was a dance instructor, so has an attachment to the story. I thought it built up really well, and had a great unsentimental ending. Reminded me of Rupulsion in many ways.

  9. Met and had an awesome conversation with Al Swearengen's right had man Dan Dougherty at AFF.

  10. Have been having a blast in Austin, and met some great people.

  11. is getting ready for AFF!

  12. Loved Darabonts script for "The Walking Dead" unfortunately the trailer makes the show look terrible.

Have you seen the behind the scenes stuff? I thought the trailer was cool... what didn't you like?

Visually it looked a little campy, which is not how it read on the page. I will give it a chance, but the script was so amazing, and the visuals did not match the grittiness that I felt reading it.

  13. Just finished reading Frank Darabonts "The Walking Dead" Pilot, what an amazing script!

I agree! It had great description and tone. Really captured the comic books. Can't wait to see it on Halloween!

The trailer does not match what I saw in my head while reading it, still hoping that I'm wrong and it turns out to be great.

  14. Is going back in time and reading "Back to the Future" (Imaginary theme music cue)

Yeah. It's a damn good show

  16. Just finished The Irishman and wasn't very impressed. I would rather see Scorsese do something different. It read like Goodfellas II, and not in a good way. What did everyone else think?

  17. Reading "The Irishman" right now

  18. Just read "The Raven" and then Stallone's "Poe", one was awful, one was pretty good. Can you guess which?
