    Saw a promo for NBC's new series IRONSIDE. I initially thought it was one of those fake Adult Swim commercials.

      I heard that the audience testing for the pilot was "we don't like the wheelchair" so the series is lots of flashbacks to walking.

    I need to know if anyone's seen a structural paradigm for a one hour TV drama? Like a Blake Snyder beat sheet but for TV. I can't find one, could use help. Thanks!

      Any sort of paradigm that exists for the bulk of tv is one built by how each network sells and places advertising. One CBS crime show is pretty much identical to another CBS crime show.

    Thanks to this Ben Affleck casting decision, children everywhere will be under the impression that when Bruce Wayne isn't masquerading as Batman, he's masquerading as a blind attorney named Matt Murdock who's masquerading as the Daredevil. Haha!

    hey people in LA - anyone know how I can get some help moving a couple things into my new place in silver lake? where's a good place to call for hired help? also, if anyone wants to volunteer to help me instead, i'll buy you a big sandwich and beer. i only have a bed and TV that need moving i think.

      It's not organized. It's really just a bunch of guys looking for work. A friend did it recently and got 2 guys for 2 hours for $80. Name what you want to pay and pick people who don't creep you out.

      Using the guys outside of Home Depot is like being in a zombie movie. They swarm your car. I've always had good luck with them though and it's a lot cheaper than going through a company.

      If you have a Home Depot or a U-Haul or another moving company near you there are usually day laborers out front.

    Any thoughts on Low Winter Sun pilot episode? I caught bits and pieces of it and other than the fact it tracked the script, I haven't decided what I think of it. (Breaking Bad was incredible, of course!)
