Prob is "low dweller" was a phrase specific to the setting of the script. Cooper changed the setting to Pennsylvania steel town -- so "out of the furnace" has relevance to the new setting. But yeah, it's still a shitty title. And the script has about 0.00001% to do with the original.
Did they get another writer to rewrite it? I didn't like the script since it was so derivative, so I ultimately don't care, but it would be funny to see them pay SO MUCH for a spec from a supposedly "brilliant new writer" and then rewrite him.
