    So KRAMPUS is rated PG-13... I'm thinking that had something to do with the R-rated CRIMSON PEAK failing and the PG GOOSEBUMPS doing pretty well...

      I'm not a fan of PG13 (esp. for horror) but there are plenty of great PG13 movies. It comes down to story and, yeah, Goosebumps is the household name. Movies need to be what they are and hopefully find their audience. A PG13 Crimson Peak probably wouldn't work any better than an R-rated Goosebumps.

      Wasn't Crimson Peak poorly advertised? Kind of the way Bicentennial Man was. Its marketed as a horror, when really, it's not, from what I've heard.
