Had a great couple of days in London at Empire's Big Screen. The never before seen footage from Total Recall, Warhorse, Coriolanus and John Carter was very impressive. As was Puss in Boots, the 8-min Spider-man reel and the 12-mins from Real Steel. Plus, Got Roland Emmerich to sign my Anonymous poster.Had a chat with Gareth Edwards and gave me some one-on-one advice. What a cool dude he is.

I wish there was a mini-Blacklist of scripts to read for the August lull. A vacation beach read list? The Dog Days Script List? Perhaps this is a good time of year for the Gray List?

Steve at The Unmentionable Forum gave me one more gem -- Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2. 64 pages...
I'm writing a feature that I'm going to direct, but a lot of the scenes are long panning/tracking shots or montages that don't translate well in terms of page length. I need justifiable paradigms of how a short script can turn into a larger feature (runtime wise)

Try...I haven't read a KILLER script in a while! Go back in time, review "Lethal Weapon" and how w/out that "spec" HALF the writers out here would have the same ol' voice... THAT'S a "revolutionary" script in terms of writing style. Changed my whole outlook on the writing process. No Shane Black = NO Quentin Tarantino (in terms of voice)

Was fiending to film something on my 5D, so I took a concept I had and shot it last week... Didn't come out bad at all -- especially since it's my 1st Directing/ Gaffing/ DP'ing job EVER lol Check it out guys... If you like it, send it to people/post it on your respective blogs... From now on, I'm STRICTLY filming what I write and producing "sizzlers" to put my projects in a better position to sell. Fuggit!
