  1. Latest script is in the can...time to get this financing baby!

  2. I'm curious. Do Agents and Managers truly despise a writer who sends an unsolicited logline query, or do they just funnel it to their trash w/out a second thought?

Because most likely unsolicited material comes from random nut jobs and when said random nut job decides he wants to attach CAA to his lawsuit over "the fact" he came up with the concept of 2 guys in a plane first, so TOP GUN owes him $, if the assistant read it and had to testify saying so, it could potentially leave the agency liable. All the material they get is from their network of people who hopefully aren't nut jobs. Even when you subm...

  4. I'm being sucked in by the marketing for The Amazing Spider-Man, somebody save me.

  5. Just read Snow White and the Huntsman (draft that sold). Mucho interesante. Didn't look too familiar in the trailer. How much was changed?

Movie fucking sucked donkey dick. Not nearly as good as the draft that attracted all the attention.

  6. Got my script coverage back a couples days ago. Been working on advised areas most of the day. I just want to get it done asap. Went mental, when Final draft decided it wanted to die on me. Annoyed I had to re-write the previous 20 minutes work again

  7. Gaaaaaaaaah, COUNTERPOINT just hit the market! I'll see you all in four days when I finally sober up.

  8. Just stumbled upon the hidden 'Katamari' game built into the main TB page. Just scroll down to the bottom and click on the tiny "pi" symbol. #EasterEggs!

  9. Suggested scripts to read or movies to watch with “Strong female leads”?

Thanks for all the input guys...

I'm either off to Miami or a private bungalow in the Hollywood Hills...7 days of nonstop writing...then going to Goldeneye (Jamaica) for a week, top of May, to unwind. THEN get busy on my first draft...

  14. Wahoo, my script is finally finished! Everything has been checked and is present and correct. And the final amount is 92 pages. And Iam very happy with it. This is the first time I thought its done, what do I do now?

  15. We didn't win, but were happy to be in the top 20 at T3F. Here's out short. Let me know what you think! http://vimeo.com/37072239

  16. Found out yesterday that one of mates has a mate who had wrote and directed a film called Travellers shown at Cannes in the last couple of years, which had a cameo from Charlie Boorman. He thinks I Should let him take a look at my script. What do you think? The same mate, who is also doing a Graphic novel himself, is going to do some artwork and stills for me.

i'd wait and get better. you only get one chance to make a first impression., don't wanna ruin that connect with sub par or run of the mill material

  17. Sweet! A short I wrote, directed, wrote the music for and did the camerawork for is top 20 in the Almost Famous 48 hour Film Fest! It'll be shown on the big screen Thursday!!

  18. Just bought the new Zahler E-Book "A Congregation of Jackals".,,basically "Brigands", but bloodier :)

  19. A guy bumped my chair in a restaurant today and lifted my laptop case without me noticing. It ended up in lost and found when all he found were scripts inside.

  20. Going to start being more consistent with script reviews. Please script suggests or I'll just do random ones with no loglines :) (Still want to do what Cyber suggested with breaking down Lethal Weapon).

  21. Should I read "Cogan's Trade"?

  22. 'Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy' - Beautifully shot & performed, overrated nonsense.

  23. @Hasmap: you ever finished "Live Today..."?

    1. Cyber Hater

      Cyber Hater

@Hasmap: I actually loved it the way it was... You shouldn't change a thing. That shit had CHARACTER...rare for a script.

It's almost a TB classic... True story

  24. Just finished "When the Street Lights Go On." It's beautifully written and a hell of a page turner, but there's a certain thinness to the story. Reminds me of "The Virgin Suicides" in that way (and obviously in other ways too). Still, I'd pay to see it, I think.

i liked this script... it fell short, but had alotta heart and, if barrymore doesn't fuck it up, will be a good film

@ Blue: C'MON MAN! That was single handily the dumbest scene in the movie. The idea - awesome. Execution, horrid. 1st thing it reminded me of "Big Trouble in Little China" when the masters battle with 'Laser Warriors' using their pinky's. And the ending...REALLY Blue. Really???
