Yeah it's not Black - no commentary on his own script within the script lol

Shane Black will probably be at the Screenwriting Expo next year. Someone needs to walk by him and yell Chuck. If he turns around, we know the answer. Mystery solved!

      Lol I'm with u brian

  2. Read "Grim Night"... Had me until about 80 pages in, then i just wanted it to end already. I hope they didn't pay american dollars for this thing... Even though the $ is worth nothing nowadays... No but seriously, this could make a semi-decent film... ergh...i guess.

So yes, it was actually bringing in a judgement about how I view your script taste. But positively

      SeeriousTimes

yeah, i did find myself wanting it to end already around that time.

I think the concept rox way more than the actual script -- which I thought ranged from cliche to alright.

I uploaded the script for The Artist awhile back. It comes in at 42 pages but it's kind of cheat with no dialogue.

Nope. I just hate the guy. He pontificates his point in the worst possible way to anyone that isn't as anal retentive as he is. There is a huge difference between sharing what you have learned and shoving it down people's throats. Every last thing he ever wrote feels like a sermon to me.

But.... This is just my opinion. I am much more focused on intent when reviewing anything. As such I am less likely to bash the crap out of something with minor fixable issues. Something h...

  7. Was fiending to film something on my 5D, so I took a concept I had and shot it last week... Didn't come out bad at all -- especially since it's my 1st Directing/ Gaffing/ DP'ing job EVER lol Check it out guys... If you like it, send it to people/post it on your respective blogs... From now on, I'm STRICTLY filming what I write and producing "sizzlers" to put my projects in a better position to sell. Fuggit!

Read all the books a few years back. Took a couple hundred pages to get all the names/plots straight but once I did I was hooked. Feels odd to say but give it a couple hundred pages...it's worth it!

    3. Cyber Hater

      Cyber Hater

Cardney: Well i figure since I've seen season 1 and read Wikipedia overview I have all the major beats/twists/etc -- so it's easier to go into 2nd book w/out having read the 1st. Had debate with female worker in Barnes & Noble about my view on jumping str8 into 2nd book, but after 3min of rationality being slung by moi she conceeded that I was correct in jumping str8 into "A Clash of Kings"... Now gonna marathon "The Killing" this week so I can be fully caught up

There a link to the 5.12.97 draft? I don't think I have that one (I have one that is undated but I don't think it is the Rodat/Darabont draft -- don't see Darabont's name anywhere on it).

      LeftyJones

CH -- Yeah -- I mean, the way Hanks played it... Wasn't even the character that was on the page... The guy on the page wins an Oscar. Too bad Hanks did his own thing and the character got watered down... And seriously fuck that "was I a good person" shit or whatever the line was from the Old Man in the cemetery... Totally not in the script I remember reading and not necessary.
