You realize Nolan is just toying with us? Every review of TDKR uses words like "EPIC, MONSTROUS, INCREDIBLY AMBITIOUS, HUGE, SPECTACLE. I was worried that I'd seen too much footage, but it's clear he's holding back. We have no idea what he has in store for us. Can't believe only a few more days until Thursday night midnight, baby!!!

I was actually found the making of the Dark Knight Trilogy today in a book shop and sat down and start reading. Very nicely done(from what I read). The script part where The Nolans and Goyer described their process of writing and choosing the charaters is very interesting. And that Levitt's John Blake is actually an orphan, who Gordon took under his wing. They aimed for Wayne, Bane and Blake to have a link to each other. So, it begs the question: Does this make him a replacement for Wayne...

La la la fingers in ears! Please no potential spoilers! I've already seen and speculated too much: http://tinyurl.com/7xjqgek

Magnets, bitch!

Just read that Michael Uslan got the film rights to Batman in the 70s, thus he's remained on as Exec Producer on every film, including Nolan's films. Do you think he gets a cut of the gross or would he have sold that away to WB years ago?

Watched the season five opener of Breaking Bad -- holy shit, it's coming back harder then ever! Incredible. And I might just be persuaded to share the streaming login for a 24-48 hour window if someone has something awesome to swap? :-)

LOUIE fans: I've got an interview with Louis C.K. and some thoughts on the show on my blog: http://actfourscreenplays.com/blog/

Congrats to Nexxus, this month's "TB Recommends" script. Can we read it?

My TDKR speculation in Member Reviews is lonely, guys. Let's get some fanboy theories going!

Hey guys, I couldn't stand the wait, so I went ahead and mapped TDKR as I think Nolan will write it. Love to get your thoughts. http://tinyurl.com/7tnb5cf

Got some thoughts on The Hunger Games from a gender perspective here, if you are so inclined to opine: http://forum.tracking-board.com/index.php?/topic/6536-could-the-hunger-games-only-have-been-written-by-a-woman/

Is that Hunger Games movie out yet? ;-)

Got the Mad Men screener and I ain't sharing!!!

Any chance of The Help ekeing in as Best Pic or is The Artist a lock?

Does anyone wonder if Spielberg didn't really direct War Horse, or at least he shot it *really fast?* It just seemed like they settled for the first take on most shots, very stiffly directed in every way, IMHO.

Mad Men Teaser Trailer, you are certainly a tease because you feature NO NEW FOOTAGE! Harumph to you.

Happy Endings is such a great show. There's so much to it that's not in the script -- the direction, the editing, the shot selection, timing, etc. Who is the creative team and what have they done prior?

Swimsuit issue comes out today, to make women feel fantastic on Vday. Stay classy, S.I.!!

Streaming the screener of an upcoming show, rather than watching a dvd. Is this new or am I just not in the loop?

I think Fincher will win Best Director for Dragon Tattoo but there's no way the film can win Best Picture. Speaking of, does anyone know what's the deal with the title sequence in the film? It felt totally removed from the story, whereas the iconic titles in "Seven" were directly related to the story (John Doe constructing one of his journals).

Thanks for the link, SciFiGuy, which includes a video embed of the full sequence. For the record, I'm fine with the IDEA of a title sequence like that -- not only is it a trademark of Fincher's style but if a Bond film can do it, why not another? And it's an incredible sequence, technically, and as a stand-alone piece of art -- but I'm still not sold on it adding to the story and establishing the tone of the movie -- when we come out of it, we've got what is essentially a ...

...what is essentially a standard Act One at a normal pace (for lack of a better term). But it's already growing on me, having seen it twice now, I must say. Ultimately, I admire its boldness and it is a part of the film, for better or worse, so should be considered in any future analysis, I suppose.

Please remind me, what is the quest in The Hobbit? Why do they put together this group of dwarves and where are they initially going? I'm psyched to see it, but I read the book so long ago I can't remember. I only remember Smaug and Smeagol.

Saw Young Adult last night. Yikes, what a mess. Felt like a second draft that REALLY needed notes. Did they rush it into production? It was just so thin.

I hope you're all having wonderful holidays and I wish you a hugely successful 2012! Let's make great screenplays and movies, people.

"The New Girl" is a great show. Respect.

When is staffing season for TV writers? Is it realistic for a new writer who just got a manager and only has samples to be in the running for jobs?

What's the buzz on "GRIMM?" I hope they focus on the +1 numbers on it as I have a feeling a few people will be watching the World Series. ;-)
