    Please remind me, what is the quest in The Hobbit? Why do they put together this group of dwarves and where are they initially going? I'm psyched to see it, but I read the book so long ago I can't remember. I only remember Smaug and Smeagol.

      So that's how you're gonna play it, huh, MikeyP? Make me copy and paste a link into my browser? Harumph, I say, harumph. (the answer: Gandalf recruits Bilbo to join the dwarves in exploiting a secret passageway into Smaug's lair to steal his gold. Seems odd to me that Gandalf would want to pull a heist, but it was written well before Tolkien fleshed out the universe for The Lord of the Rings.)
