    How does weekend tracking work? Where/how do they poll people and gauge this information? I've never been asked at a movie theater if I was aware of an upcoming movie. As we all know, the tracking is often wrong, but it's usually pretty darn accurate so...pull back the curtain,please?

      Its done almost exactly as you guessed above. Often a mix of at movie theaters, private screenings, and "man on he street".

      Where are these people? I've been polled at preview screenings, but that's about a movie you've just seen. I also had a little freelance gig for a while in NYC where a guy from Sony sent me free passes to watch movies and gauge audience reaction to trailers. Man, I wish I still had that job! :-)
