thought CR was an even-balanced script for the most part. they shaded out details on both sides, but still were able to present a stout story with likable personas throughout.

I didn't care for it. Most of it felt like a bad road trip/buddy comedy, complete with unlikable, one dimensional characters, stilted dialogue, a ridiculous romantic subplot, and forced "celebrity" cameos, the celebrities in this case being politicians.

I'll admit the last 20 pages or so were entertaining, and I liked the "key" metaphor at the end between Rove and Bush. But otherwise, the script was average at best.

You're right, it's not The Black List. We wanted to give love to all the spec writers for our list and not have them get lost with the Aaron Sorkin's and Allan Loeb's of current "Best Of" lists.
