Just finished "When the Street Lights Go On." It's beautifully written and a hell of a page turner, but there's a certain thinness to the story. Reminds me of "The Virgin Suicides" in that way (and obviously in other ways too). Still, I'd pay to see it, I think.
I didn't think it was bad... and I loved the fantasy flash-forwards at the end of it but overall it just didn't do much for me. Very well written though.
VIRGIN SUICIDES definitely takes away from the script a bit, but it's a remarkable read for a script that has an uninvolved/unimportant protagonist and no plot.
