I love when the used books are somehow more expensive than a brand new copy. Also, no review below four stars!

I concur -- Bill's "blue books" are great, and a nice price.

  2. Listened to The Q + A with Goldsmith about Another Earth. All three of the peeps he interviewed were amazing. That film was ALSO amazing. So freaking inspiring to me to just get out and film something...

Those scripts were always so hard to find anyway... but yeah, it was good for a few random projects popping up..

Did the Brits stop writing scripts? Wouldn't be surprised, with the state of the British film industry at the moment.

Nice George! Went to Rock Bottom instead. Great Christmas brew. If you're going through Pitt's airport, there's a bar that has Founder's Breakfast Stout. Pretty awesome.

Have you read Our Name is Adam? I got through the first act, and found it's impossible not to picture Tom Cruise murdering the role since it's so wrong for him. I could be wrong, but it seems like more of a Bill Murray or Bradley Cooper role.

  15. Learning how to do coverage from a doc someone posted from WME's How To. Just wanted to say that I love this site and I hate the things I've heard lately. I appreciate all the people who have posted scripts/treatments/samples/whatever on here. You've really given this outsider a lot to learn so THANK YOU.

Because channing tatum's character dies like 40 minutes into the film and the trailer made it seem like he would be in the entire film. What a strange pull out the rug from under ya kind of lead on!

    2. sangun

      sangun

After the GI Joe: Retaliation debacle you apparently have to make sure Tatum doesn't die in your trailer.

  18. Anytime I see a headline of an "older" script finally getting actors attached and heading into production, it always make me feel good. Persistence and patience is the key people.

  19. Love the homepage taglines you guys come up with. "Anne Hathaway has 'Low Self-Esteem' " I could've told you that.

  20. Top 3 scripts you've read this year. Doesn't have to be written this year. Go.

I just read the pilots for New Girl and The O.C. and both are very strong. New Girl wasn't quite there, but it showed potential. The character of "Coach" had a lot of screen time. No Winston. Was Marlon Wayans Coach in the pilot, and did that air?

  21. Finally reviewed another script. The Outsider, from the top of last year's black list. Member Reviews!

He didn't write the script...Just the novel. I'll have to see what happened to it Craig. Otherwise I'll re-read it and see if it still holds a place as my favorite script still waiting to be produced.

Bryan Cranston said that Vince Gilligan told him from the outset that the show was about going from Mr. Chips to Scarface. Funny how Scarface ended with Pacino firing grenades from an M-16, and Walter White begins this season by buying an M-60, another heavy machine gun. "The Last Stand of Heisenberg?" Who will be dead at this point -- Jesse, Hank, Lydia, his wife, kids? I think SAUL will be the lone survivor, and slink off into the distance holding a bag full of $100 million. :-)
