    Taking a poll here: What's your preference for a character who is not visible, but heard - speaking on the phone (via speakerphone for ex.): (V.O.) (O.S.) or (O.C.)?

      I've used varying styles. Mostly, however, I utilize (ON PHONE) as an extension or (filtered, phone) as a parenthetical. It's all a style choice. Whatever works best in the scene and fits with the overall tone.

      Apropos Jesse was the lone "survivor" as it were. His arc was most defined. And that it was Walter that needed to "free" him from his "slavery" again was apropos. Though it was one of the "quieter" episodes, it did what it was intended... to end. Now to wait two weeks for Walking Dead. :)

      Finding anything to attach oneself to any of the characters, mainly Frank (the main protag?) was virtually nonexistent. Unfortunately all male lead characters (around 40 or older)are now under the "Walter White" scrutiny. Now, to compare the pilot for LWS and BB can not be done. Mr. White was instantly empathized, no one in LWS even came close. I'm giving it one more epi to make me interested. And yeah, sbbn, they seemed to have gone all in on the tonal thing.       Wait... you're literally a rocket scientist. I'd say that's one hell of a back-up degree just in case. Yeah. MFA's aren't worth the paper they're printed on, unlike that PHD.
