If you are an aspiring screenwriter who wants desperately to tell the stories that pop in your head at all hours of the day, the FUCKING IGNORE all this nonsense, about what is a sale and what isn't. Jesus. The people talking about this the most, won't be around in two years. Get a bottle. Stand in a lightning storm and pray you capture it. Or just write great stuff. You do the math.

I chalk it up to sometimes people want to overstate the obvious to appear relevant in a sea of almost certain obscurity (not talking about you Mike - directing this at the pundits). I mean, shit, it's not like it's unique to screenwriting - the whole "I wanna do this to make some coin" bit. You think the majority of fuckers in law school are there because they love waxing poetic about mother fucking jurisprudence????

Yikes - things have the potential to get real ugly with this. Sucks for the writer to be named personally in this lawsuit - and not the people who helped him develop the idea and pitch it. Very curious as to why plaintiffs didn't name Lawrence Grey as a defendant in this. Hope plaintiffs have their lawyers on contingency for this one and not hourly.
