  10. Those of you who have a writing partner, what methods do you typically use? For example, do you write together in the same room?

  14. Just recieved a consider from TB for my pilot. Hoping umpteenth time's the charm.

  15. Finished the latest draft of my spec. It's out to a few management companies who enjoyed my first spec. Fingers crossed!

  16. We got a "Consider" on our TB Coverage for the first draft of our psychological thriller. Great notes to apply to the rewrite.

  17. Nice freelance piece about the brutal world of a struggling writer. Haven't seen any of his films but I do respect the man. http://badassdigest.com/2015/03/02/from-hollywood-to-homeless-the-writer-of-jason-x-and-drive-angry-on-screenw/

  18. Next question for writers: have you ever received payment for net points on the back end of a deal? I'd be stunned if anyone has, but asking anyway.

  19. Question for the writers on TB: have you ever had an optional writing step exercised? (I haven't and am curious.)

I work at an ent law firm, and in my experience, they usually just get their guaranteed steps. Sometimes we do see their optional steps exercised. But not often. And it's usually with the bigger clients.

  21. I'm a huge Fincher fan, but Gone Girl didn't blow me away. Performances were good, especially Pike and Perry. I'm not sure if it was the photography but it came off a little dull.

  24. At this rate, there will be around 70 specs sold this year.- From BL: "Sony Pictures Entertainment acquires science fiction spec script “Leviathan” written by Cole Haddon. Haddon is repped by WME and Anonymous Content. By my count, this is the 30th spec script sale of 2014. There were 53 spec script sales year-to-date in 2013."

Bobbylaw do you read the scoggins report? It follows how many specs have gone out and sold
