      Merrrrryyyy CHRISTMAS!

  2. Liking the idea of Paramount London. Wonder what rides they'd create based on their films?

The Mission Impossible - a ride where the lines are sooooo long it becomes apparent that getting on the ride will be impossible.

      Titantic River Rapids

  3. Whoever thought NaNoWriMo was a good idea? Doing it as an experiment. Holy hell, what a terrible idea. 30,000 words in and I just want to go back to writing scripts.

There used to be an April version just for script-writing. Is that still around?

I turned my last couple of NANO's into scripts afterward.

ScriptFrenzy! I wrote my first script that way. Think they disappeared a few years ago. Jiblings - writing this as a novel as I couldn't figure it out in script form!

  4. Boyhood is just incredible.

Looks interesting. It won several awards at SIFF

  5. Can the $25 off coupon not be used on an early bird entry? Mine didn't work.

Nope. They mark that pretty clearly in the newsletters, as well as the launch pad entry pages, etc.

  6. Chucked something up in WOP. A dark comedy. If you read it, much appreciated. Just can't seem to figure it out...

  7. Inside No. 9 is incredible. UK folk, iPlayer! US folk, watch it some other way.

But this looks really fun. Wish I could find a place to watch it. Sidereel, why do you even exist anymore?

Thanks for the heads up! Episode 2 was one of the most incredible pieces of comedic writing/performance I've ever seen.

Thanks for heads up as well. Really enjoying this one :)

  8. Inside Llewyn Davis was as good as expected. What a soundtrack.

  9. New ideas but rewrites call...

  10. Anyone watched any of the Amazon/Lovefilm pilots? Thoughts?

Those Who Can't was pretty good. Betas too.

I enjoyed Those Who Can't, reminded me of Sunny in Philly. I actually laughed; not the case with others.

  11. Interesting scene description... 'Blair KISSES Miles on the CHEEK and he turns the color of a USED TAMPON.' Fair enough.

      That must be Sorkin. (Kidding.)

  12. Friends have called my latest spec "unrealistic". Don't want to go into details but I think I'll shelve 'Manti' (working title) for now.

Maybe "A Thousand Blows to the Head" would be a better title?

How about "If You Think Your Online Girlfriend Is A Real Girlfriend, You May Be Gay". No? Too Long?

  13. Been dumped thanks to my girlfriend's mother saying "It's him or us [the parents]." In the space of a few weeks I've gone from "Not right for you." to Worse Than Hitler. Noidea how. What scripts should I read to cheer me up?

Read COLD CITY by David James Kelly. It's a breath of fresh air and so inspiring.

  14. Decided to work on a Christmas script. Anyone else ever written one?

    1. Foz90

      Foz90

Very cool. I've had one set around Christmas before but never actually about it. Enjoying it so far. :)

Nice one! I'll give it a read when feeling like a Scrooge.

Haven't written one myself, but I enjoy everything Christmas. Of the most recent Christmas specs that have gone out, Christmas Vs. Hannukah was my favorite (from 2011 I believe). It's in the File Exchange, check it out!

  15. Just found out I'm a runner-up in Scriptapalooza 2012. I'll take that!
