  1. My opinion -The Last Jedi is a terrible movie. The Disaster Artist is excellent. That is all. Happy holidays

The poor scripting was my problem. I thought the movie was a lot of fun to watch... but there were just so many story issues...

Agree with everyone here - felt like it was really written to showcase amazing visuals (which it absolutely had), not to tell a great story. I prefer both but if I had to chose, great story will always win out for me over visually interesting scenes with weak storytelling.

Yea, it was disappointing for me also

  2. This forum has died. Two years it was vibrant. Chat usually full. Up to date script exchange. I miss those days.

I've been wrapped up in few things, including helping the Seattle-based Northwest Screenwriters Guild get back up to speed. If you are in the area visit nwsg.org and sign up for emails, as the team is working on industry-related events this fall. I aim to get back to the forums here as the load lightens.

  3. Maybe this helps someone, maybe not -- but I haven't been writing the past six months, my mental game suffering, the words not coming. Then out of blue a short script I wrote last year sold for 2K and I'm back. Sometimes all it takes is that little boost of confidence and faith. Papa needed it and got it when one of his short stories sold and it spurred him on. We all need it. So cheers to you all and keep fighting the good fight.

Very funny short -- glad you went all the way with the premise. Nice work!

  5. YOU DON'T KNOW JACK with Al Pacino is a phenomenal film. Superb writing. Check out this overlooked gem. It's on Amazon Prime.

Amendment to Oxford Comma Rule: If when writing a screenplay the placement of a comma has resulted in a dangler which in turns adds another page to your script, you may in fact say bollocks to the comma.
